Star Pride

Today the small, luxury cruise ship Star Pride called into Bergen. Originally entering service in 1988 as Seabourn Pride, she was the first of a series of 3 identical ships built for the then newly-formed (and now well established, arguably market-leading) Seabourn Cruise Line. After a long and successful career with Seabourn, this entire series of ships was acquired by Windstar Cruises, with Seabourn Pride becoming Star Pride in 2014, ready for her new role. Star Pride has a length of 133m, a gross tonnage of 9,975, and accommodates just 208 passengers, served by a crew of 164. Any B-Movie enthusiasts will recognise Star Pride as the sister ship of Seabourn Legend , which featured prominently in the (awful) 1997 movie Speed 2: Cruise Control.
