Last week I went on board Fjordline's cruise-ferry Stavangerfjord, for a whistle stop tour of her passenger facilities during her impressively fast turnaround in the city. Norwegian Star and Albatros

After a fantastic summer season in Bergen it was business as usual today, as two of the final cruise ships to call this year were greeted with grey skies and an afternoon of heavy rain. NORWEGIAN STAR Alongside at Bontelabo was Norwegian Star. Not a frequent visitor to the city, her arrival brought over 2,300 extra visitors. Mein Schiff 6

The newest addition to TUI's immaginatively-named fleet is Mein Schiff 6 . She is, in fact brand-new;  Mein Schiff 6  called into Bergen today on her maiden voyage. She is a sister ship to three other members of the TUI fleet, including Mein Shiff 4 , which called into Bergen last month. This class of ship have handsome, balanced profiles, and in my opinion are reasonably attractive modern cruise ships. Mein Schiff 6 is 295m long, has a tonnage of 98,800 and can accommodate 2,790 passengers and 1,030 crew.
