Viking Sea
Earlier this week Viking Sea called into Bergen for a 3-day visit.
Viking Sea is the second in a new class of ships built by Viking Cruises for their entry into the ocean cruising market (a step across from their established river cruising brand). She joined her sister Viking Star in 2016, and has since been followed by Viking Sky. A total of 8 ships in this class are being built, meaning they will fast become a staple in ports across Europe and further afield.
These ships are aimed squarely at the upper end of the cruise market, and their well-proportioned, mordern profile represents the brand well.
The photographs below show Viking Sea moored alongside at Skolten Syd, then her departure as viewed from the bathing platform at Nordnes.
