Astor
Visiting Bergen on Friday was the small cruise ship Astor.
Entering service in 1987, Astor was the second, near-identical, ship built of that name; she followed her predecessor (currently in service as Saga Pearl II), and after just 18 months as Astor, sailed from 1988-1995 as Fedor Dostoyevskiy. Returning to her original name in 1995, she has since been operated by the German Transocean Tours, and for the Britsh Cruise & Maritime Voyages.
She has a length of 176m, a tonnage of 20,700 and accommodates up to 650 passengers and 300 crew.
I took the following photos as Astor passed the Bergen-Askøy ferry during her arrival into Bergen under cloudy skies.
Also in port were Viking Star and P&O's Azura.
