Serenade of the Seas
Today Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas called into Bergen during a cruise through the Fjords, and got to enjoy the finest Norwegian rain.
One of four Radiance-class ships, she was designed to Panamax dimensions (enabling her to transit the Panama canal). This has lead to a longer, narrower, sleeker design than many of the other classes of ship operated by Royal Caribbean, and in my opinion makes Serenade of the Seas and her sisters particularly attractive ships.
Serenade of the Seas entered service in 2003, has a tonngage of 90,090, a length of 293m and can accommodate up to 2,490 passengers and 891 crew.
These photos were taken as I passed her en route to work this morning (on her way into Bergen) and then during her departure from the dock at Bontelabo this afternoon. I'm sure her passengers will be hoping for slightly better weather for the rest of their sailing...
